Dr. Dina LiVolsi is the first and only AVCA* Certified Animal Chiropractor in Allegheny County.

How Chiropractic Works

- The bones of the spine and joints are maintained in a specific alignment.
- The nerves which surround each joint and vertebral articulation are in constant communication with   the central nervous system, brain and all organs.
- When even a subtle change in alignment occurs, it is called a subluxation.
- Subluxations affect the nervous system, local muscles, joints, and even distant organs, glands and       bodily functions.

How Do I Know if my Pet Needs to be Treated  With Chiropractic?

- Neck, back, leg pain
- Difficulty getting up, negotiating stairs, not jumping
- Trouble getting into or out of vehicle
- Lameness (not walking correctly, dragging a leg, difficulty)
- Injuries from slips, falls, accidents and sports
- Muscle spasms
- Post-surgical care
- Maintenance of joints and spinal health care
- Mood or behavioral changes
- Chronic health problems that are not responding otherwise

Will An Adjustment Hurt My Animal?

A high percentage of animals receive their adjustment without signs of pain. Your pet will be seen     by one of Point Breeze Veterinary Clinic's experienced veterinarians before their adjustment.  Not only is this the law in Pennsylvania, this also helps to ensure that your pet is truly a candidate for chiropractic care and to rule out and medical issue that may prevent chiropractic care.

Why Choose Dr. LiVolsi?

When selecting a practitioner to perform "chiropractic" on animal, please ASK for their education and credentials!  Animal chiropractic is not taught in any regular chiropractic or veterinary school currently  - it is post-graduate work.  Please be cautious if selecting a practitioner who took a weekend seminar and who is not certified through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (*AVCA).  Please visit www.avcadoctors.com to learn about education and certification and to find a certified doctor in your area.  This site identifies those professionals who have met high, specific standards of knowledge and experience.
